As autumn approaches, people are more susceptible to respiratory infections such as colds, coughs, and pneumonia. Therefore, it is recommended to consume foods that are juicy and moisturizing, and to avoid spicy and fried foods. Lotus Seed and Lily Bulb Congee: 15g lotus seeds, 15g dried lily bulbs, 1 egg, and an appropriate amount of sugar. Remove the lotus seed hearts and cook the lotus seeds and lily bulbs in a pot with an appropriate amount of water over low heat until the lotus seeds are tender. Then add the egg and sugar. Once the egg is cooked, it is ready to be served. This congee is beneficial for the spleen and stomach, moisturizes the lungs, and calms the mind.
Snow Pear and Silver Ear Mushroom Soup: 1 snow pear, 30g of hydrated silver ear mushrooms, 5g Fritillaria cirrhosa, and an appropriate amount of sugar. Remove the root and impurities from the hydrated silver ear mushrooms, wash them, and tear them into small pieces. Peel and core the snow pear, and cut it into pieces. Place the silver ear mushrooms, snow pear pieces, Fritillaria cirrhosa, and sugar in a steamer and steam for 30-40 minutes. Remove and serve.
Sesame and Wood Ear Mushroom Soup: Roast about 10g of black sesame seeds. Add the roasted sesame seeds and wood ear mushrooms (soaked in warm water) to a pot, add water, and simmer. After simmering, add a little sugar and serve in several portions. Sesame seeds have a good moisturizing effect, especially suitable for those with dry stools.
Egg and Milk Crucian Carp Soup: 1 crucian carp, 20g egg and milk mixture, 10g ginger, 10g scallions, appropriate amount of salt, and appropriate amount of chicken essence. Clean the crucian carp after gutting it. Lightly fry the crucian carp in 30% hot oil to remove the fishy smell. Add an appropriate amount of water and seasonings, and simmer over low heat for 40 minutes. Add a small amount of egg and milk mixture when serving to make the soup whiter, thicker, and tastier.
