Early knowledge of summer treatment for chilblains

   Frostbite is a common winter ailment. Based on the principle of treating winter illnesses in summer, addressing frostbite during the hot summer months can yield unexpected results, even achieving a cure.

  1. Take 20-30 grams of cherries and soak them in sorghum liquor for 1-2 weeks. Then, use this liquor to rub the areas affected by frostbite in the winter, 1-2 times a day.

  2. Take 15 grams each of safflower, angelica root, cinnamon twig, dry ginger, and mint, chop them up, and put them in a large glass bottle. Add 500 grams of white liquor, seal it, and let it sit for more than 10 days before use. During the summer midday, patients can use a cotton swab to apply an appropriate amount of the medicine, repeatedly rubbing it on the areas affected by frostbite in the winter. Be sure to continue this for 10-20 days.

  3. Put an appropriate amount of vinegar in a pot and heat it. While still warm, use it to rub the areas affected by frostbite in the winter, 2-3 times a day for 7 days.

  4. Boil fresh pine branches and use the water to wash the areas affected by frostbite in the winter, once a day.

  5. Every midday, take an appropriate amount of eggplant root and dried red chili peppers, boil them, and use the hot water to soak the areas affected by frostbite in the winter, once a day for 1-10 consecutive days.

  6. When eating watermelon in the summer, save some of the rind, leaving it slightly thick. Gently rub it on the areas affected by frostbite in the winter for 3-5 minutes, 1-2 times a day for 5 consecutive days.
