Soy milk and fried bread sticks are a popular breakfast, but soy milk is somewhat cold in nature and not suitable for everyone!
1. Soy milk is somewhat cold in nature. People with indigestion, flatulence, or poor kidney function should drink less soy milk. In addition, soy milk can produce gas under the action of enzymes, so people with bloating or diarrhea should avoid drinking soy milk.
2. Brown sugar should not be added to soy milk because brown sugar contains various organic acids that combine with the proteases in soy milk, easily causing protein denaturation and precipitation, making it difficult for the body to absorb. White sugar does not have this phenomenon.
3. Some people like to use a thermos to keep soy milk warm, but this method is not recommended because the warm and humid environment inside a thermos is very conducive to bacterial growth. In addition, the saponin in soy milk can also dissolve the scale in the thermos, which can harm human health if consumed.
4. Since soy milk is made from soybeans, and soybeans are high in purines and are a cold food, people with gout, fatigue, weakness, or mental fatigue, those with a cold constitution, are not suitable for drinking soy milk.
5. Soy milk must not only be boiled, but the lid must also be left open while boiling. This is because only by leaving the lid open can harmful substances in the soy milk be volatilized with the steam.
6. It should also be noted that soy milk should never be taken with antibiotics such as erythromycin, as the two will have antagonistic chemical reactions. The interval between drinking soy milk and taking antibiotics should be at least one hour.
