Many families prefer to choose bean sprouts without root hairs, short stems, and small buds, believing that this type of bean sprout is tender and crisp, less wasteful, and cooks quickly. However, experts warn that this type of bean sprout is highly toxic, has a certain degree of carcinogenicity, and poses significant health risks.
According to experts, this type of rootless bean sprout is grown using a substance called "herbicide" to accelerate growth. Herbicides are highly toxic and not only inhibit the normal growth of plants, causing malformations such as stem growth without roots or buds, but also destroy nutrients such as proteins, vitamins, and minerals.
When people eat bean sprouts grown with herbicides, the various chemical toxins inhibit the growth of human cells and damage tissues. Frequent consumption of bean sprouts with high herbicide concentrations can also inhibit the growth of various cells or cause tissue degeneration, leading to mutations in certain cells that gradually develop into cancer cells. Additionally, it can cause chronic poisoning in certain tissues, leading to metabolic disorders.
