Want to maintain a healthy lifestyle? Proper nutrition can do it! The latest issue of Time magazine's special edition introduces ten of the best nutritional foods for modern people, including tomatoes; green tea, loved by Asians, is also on the list. Notably, potatoes, white bread, and white rice, considered staples in the West, have negative effects on health and should be reduced.

The report says that numerous studies have found that Lycopene in tomatoes can significantly reduce the risk of cancers such as prostate cancer. Lycopene is released during cooking, but eating it raw is also good as it is an excellent source of Vitamin C.

Spinach is the second recommended food, rich in iron and Vitamin B, effectively preventing cardiovascular diseases and blindness. A cup of spinach only has 41 calories, making it a guilt-free choice for beauty-conscious women.

Nuts are the third recommendation, providing good cholesterol and lowering triglycerides in the blood, making them an excellent preventative measure against heart disease. Peanuts and almonds are good choices, but moderation is key to avoid overconsumption.

Cauliflower is the fourth recommendation. Studies show that it's rich in carotene and Vitamin C, and long-term consumption can reduce the risk of breast, colorectal, and stomach cancers. The best way to eat it is to lightly cook it and chew thoroughly. Cabbage and bean sprouts are also good choices.

Oats are the fifth recommendation. Daily consumption can lower cholesterol and blood pressure. The rich fiber content promotes satiety, reducing the intake of other oily foods and helping with weight control.

Salmon is the sixth recommendation. Regular consumption prevents vascular blockage, and studies suggest that the Omega-3s in salmon protect against brain aging and dementia.

Garlic is the seventh recommendation. While its breath may be off-putting, garlic is excellent for preventing heart disease, lowering cholesterol, and cleansing the blood. Its antibacterial properties make it highly recommended by scientists.

Blueberries are the eighth recommendation, possessing the highest antioxidant levels among all fruits and vegetables. They prevent heart disease and cancer and boost brainpower.

Green tea, beloved by Asians, is the ninth recommendation. Studies show that regular consumption prevents cancer. Research in China found that people who consume green tea daily have a lower risk of stomach, esophageal, and liver cancer. Japanese studies also found that drinking ten cups of green tea daily reduces the risk of heart disease.

Red wine is the tenth recommendation. The grape skins used in winemaking are rich in antioxidants, increasing good cholesterol and reducing hardening of the arteries. However, moderation is crucial; excessive consumption can increase the risk of breast cancer and stroke. Limit intake to a few glasses per week.
