Bananas relieve dry eyes

   People who work in front of computers often experience dry, red, or sore eyes. Eating one banana a day can provide some relief, according to a recent article on the Taiwanese Sweet Potato Vine health website.

  The article points out that bananas' eye-protective function is primarily related to their high potassium content. Excessive salt intake leads to water retention in cells, causing eye redness and swelling. The potassium in bananas helps the body eliminate this excess salt, achieving potassium-sodium balance and alleviating eye discomfort.

  In addition, bananas contain a large amount of beta-carotene. When the body lacks this substance, the eyes become sore, dry, dull, and dehydrated. Eating more bananas can not only alleviate these symptoms but also reduce eye fatigue and prevent premature aging to some extent.
