The 2013 Haimen City Science and Technology Progress Awards were announced, with 26 projects receiving first, second, and third prizes, driving nearly 1 billion yuan in investment.

Among the 26 projects, 7 projects, including the calcium dobesilate dispersible tablets developed by Vanguard Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., won first prizes; 15 projects, including the mobile high-negative pressure welding fume purification device of Klerk Air Treatment Equipment Co., Ltd., won second prizes; and 4 projects, including the ridge-following ultra-thin streamlined ventilator of Jinghai HVAC Equipment Co., Ltd., won third prizes.

The municipal science and technology progress awards have high investment intensity, high technological content, and many independent intellectual property rights, with strong potential for economic impetus. The nuclear grade high-temperature Z2CND18.12N nitrogen-controlled stainless steel seamless steel pipe project developed by ZTE Energy Equipment Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 48 million yuan, has been applied to projects such as the Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant and the Guangdong Lingao Nuclear Power Plant, achieving sales revenue of over 50 million yuan last year. The printed stainless steel decorative plate project implemented by Senda Decoration Materials Co., Ltd., solved the problem of monotonous colors in stainless steel decorative plates. Currently, the products have been favored by large companies at home and abroad and are widely used in the surface decoration of high-end products such as automobiles, household appliances, furniture, and kitchenware, achieving sales revenue of 55 million yuan last year. The new high-speed horizontal variable amplitude and ultra-high-use cycle bucket gantry crane project independently developed by Hailong Heavy Machinery has applied for one invention patent and three utility model patents, achieving sales of 25 million yuan last year.
